A Lunar New Year Celebration at the Micronesia Mall: Lion Dance, Cultural Demonstrations, Performances, Giveaways and More!

Micronesia Mall will be kicking off the Lunar New Year with a special celebration in the Micronesia Mall Center Court on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 11am to 4pm followed by a spectacular lion dance performance by the esteemed Chinese School of Guam, complemented by giveaways of fortune cookies and panda keychains from Panda Express on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 3pm.

The public is invited to join the celebration as we delve into the rich traditions and significance of Lunar New Year, a time of renewal, unity and prosperity celebrated by various cultures around the world.

Mallgoers can experience the vibrant festivities with calligraphy, cultural demonstrations and music performances.

The event will include table displays, giveaways, samples and cultural activities by a variety of exhibitors, including MM Theatres, Chapter One Dumpling House, Crystal Energy Infinite, the Guam Community College Tourism & Hospitality Department and Guam Community College Culinary Department, the Guam Philharmonic Foundation and the University of Guam Chinese Language Program.

Attendees can visit booths to learn more about the diverse cultures celebrating the Lunar New Year. They also have a chance to win goodies from Micronesia Mall and movie tickets from MM Theatres to watch Disney’s Turning Red.
